The Men in Our Midst

The right man will come at the right time and place

He will knock on your heart and he brings in peace

He will provide security and he will keep you strong

In his home, he will make you feel it’s where you belong.

There may be times he's extremely busy

And you will notice sometimes, he gets too lazy

But he is just a man nothing is wrong with that

There is a time for everything, cut him some slack.

So he forgot your birthday, forgive him anyway

Just forget his birthday too, that’s what I would say.

If that will compensate for the temporary pain

You will reap what you sow, you will cry in the rain.

God bless our souls for loving these men

Do we have a choice? Why not leave them then?

If circumstances allow us and odds are in our favor

We would rather him appreciate all of our endeavors.

I feel you dear, we both agree men are complicated

Their minds are labyrinth and their hearts are divided

We can only hope that time will soon come

He will finally realize before you are gone.
