 i have this longing

 that I ached in secret 

 the cross I have to bear...

   

i'd say, what a catastrophe

    it is to betray thy self

 caught in an abstruse affair.

  had there been an alternative 

    i could have picked one

 this longing is my enemy 

    a chosen circumstance.

pain is not a thing of the past
neither love,  nor hope

 yet my wishes are abstained  

  and i secretly anguish.

i summon the angels

  may my sins be forgotten

 arise me from slumber 

   or let me just vanish. 

but then again, this longing remains..
